Classes.

 

JUNIOR SCHOOL:

Students are accepted from 3½ years of age.
All students are required to attend ballet classes to develop poise, line and postural strength. They study the R.A.D. (Royal Academy of Dance) general grades syllabus.

Students in the Pre-school and Prep-school age-group attend a stimulating half-hour class each week, which incorporates movement and expression to music and simple ballet technique. 

R.A.D. Pre-Primary and Primary students attend one 1hour class each week.

Students in R.A.D. Grades 1 to 4 attend two classes per week.

From school-age, they have the option of also taking jazz and/or tap classes.

Jazz students attend one class per week and study the C.S.T.D. (Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dance) Modern Jazz syllabus.

Tap students attend one class per week and study the CSTD and Glen Wood Tap Syllabii.

 

SENIOR SCHOOL:

All students are required to continue their ballet studies. They have the option of also attending classes in contemporary dance, jazz and tap.

Students study the R.A.D. Vocational Grades ballet syllabus, and attend a minimum of three classes per week. Tuition from Intermediate Foundation to Solo Seal is offered.  

Contemporary students attend one class per week. Their studies include the Graham, Limon, and Cunningham techniques within an open class framework.

Jazz students attend one class per week and study the C.S.T.D. Modern Jazz syllabus. Open classes, which include a variety of styles, are also incorporated into their training schedule.

Tap students attend one class per week and study the CSTD and Glen Wood Tap Syllabii.
