The Anne Fraser School of Dance was established on the Sunshine Coast in the mid 1970’s and offers quality tuition in classical ballet, contemporary dance, tap, jazz, repertoire, musical theatre and body conditioning. Students are taught in a safe, caring and encouraging environment by a highly qualified faculty. Class sizes are limited to ensure individual attention for all students.
Students are given the opportunity to participate in examinations and stage performances, and competition work is also offered. Each year, classes with high-profile guest teachers are made available to senior students.
Whether students attend classes for recreational or vocational purposes, the aim of the school is to nurture their love of dance, to give them a sense of achievement in a happy classroom atmosphere, and to ensure they reach their full technical and artistic potential. Many former students have successfully auditioned for places in prestigious full-time dance institutions both in Australia and overseas. Former students are now dancing with ballet companies in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Europe. Others have obtained contracts in commercial dance, and several have pursued teaching careers in various dance genres.
